Rome Fiumicino

The closest airport to Assisi is in Perugia but it's a very small airport and only reachable through connections. There will be many more flight options to Rome Fiumicino (FCO). Assisi is approximately 2 hours by car from Rome. 2025 is a Jubilee year, which means that there will be a lot of tourists coming into Italy and Rome in particular. We recommend booking your flights WELL IN ADVANCE!

Driving to Assisi

Assisi is a short and easy 2-hour drive from Rome. We recommend renting a car directly at the airport. Remember to ask for automatic if you don't know how to drive stick shift!
