Kellie and Dan were in the same drawing class. Kellie was a sophomore, Dan was a freshman. Dan took a chance and sent a friend request on Facebook to Kellie, and she accepted. From there, the two texted nearly everyday. They hung out at school, and walked each other to the bus. There was one movie date until they decided the time wasn't right, but fast-forward 3 years of being good friends until they FINALLY made it official. After a football game in October 2015, Dan took another chance and told Kellie how he felt. Luckily, she felt the same, and she had felt that way about him since 2012.

Kellie was sitting at home, and Dan was getting his haircut at Maddie's after work. Dan comes in late, laughed at the sight of Kellie eating Wendy's on the couch, then he says he needed help in the dining room with something. Kellie took a minute and walked into him on one knee. Neither can remember what Dan said because Kellie fell to the ground crying and clearly said yes! Dan's plan was for it to be simple and to catch Kellie off guard (which is hard to do), and everything was totally perfect!
