We have decided for our wedding to be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your flexibility in making prior arrangements before attending our special day.
Unfortunately, no animals of any kind are allowed on the venue property.
This means that your immediate **adult** children are invited! Please pass on the invite to them and ask them to RSVP on our website.
If your invitation stated you and your partner, yes! If it listed only your name, please refrain from bringing a guest to keep our guest and meal count accurate for the reception.
Please RSVP by August 1, 2026.
Yes. Please follow signage and YMCA staff members on the wedding day for available parking.
Buildings are wheelchair-accessible, but please note the venue is in a remote location and may have uneven terrain.
You may stay at the YMCA Camp of Maine after the reception for $10 per person per night or purchase a hotel room as part of our block. Check the Travel page on our website for the most up-to-date information closer to our wedding date. If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block.
Our dress code is upscale casual. Think sundresses or a nice button-down shirt with khakis or jeans. If the color of your attire is on a wildflower, wear it! Blues, purples, pinks, yellows, etc. No neon please!
We recommend chunky heels or shoes you don’t mind getting a little bit of dirt on. Bring sandals for when your feet get tired and sneakers for the fire and early morning!
New England summers are warm during the day and cool at night, so we recommend a light wrap/sweater to cover bare shoulders and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony and the evening reception. We will provide sunscreen and bug spray to keep guests comfortable. Bring warm comfy clothes for the casual afterparty at the campfire.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, please browse our Registry page on our wedding website to view and purchase. Please send all gifts to: 415 Main Street Gorham, ME 04038 A wedding card box will be at our reception.
Our wedding will take place at the YMCA Camp of Maine in Winthrop, ME on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The ceremony will begin at 3pm sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to wrap around 9pm.
The camp will be open all day on 9/26/26 for those who will be staying the night in our on-site cabins to set up your room and make any finishing touches on your attire. We encourage guests to use the kayaks, lifejackets, and courts provided, or just kick back! We recommend arriving at the YMCA at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time (2:30pm) to have enough time to park and find your seat at the outdoor ceremony space.
Our reception will end around 9pm, after which there will be an after-party at the campfire just outside the reception venue. Wear your casual comfy clothes—sweaters, sweatpants, sneakers—and get ready for s’mores and tunes!
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a BBQ buffet for dinner. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions we should be aware of; we will coordinate with those who may have non-meat dietary needs prior to the wedding.
Every guest’s first drink is on us during cocktail hour. Our reception will have a cash bar.
Alcohol is not permitted on the property unless served by the bartenders we have contracted for our reception.
Check out the "Things to Do" section of our travel page to see some of our favorite spots to eat, drink and explore in our city and throughout southern and central Maine.
We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking or posting any photos or videos at or of our wedding ceremony. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day. Please take pictures and videos during the reception; document the fun!
Yes! Our wedding hashtag is #EWGetsMarried. It will also be posted around the venue for your convenience.
We will be providing sunscreen, bug spray, and water to combat the heat during our outdoor ceremony, but we suggest bringing a pair of sunglasses so you can comfortably view the ceremony. If you plan to stay the night at the venue, please bring an air mattress and bedding. We will have a full and queen sheet sets to borrow.
