Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are so excited to see all our family and friends dolled up for our big day. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception for the most part will be in the air conditioned barn. Think summer cocktail attire, cute but something you’ll still be comfortable dropping it low in on the dance floor 🕺 Above is the suggested color palette we’d like our guests to wear, preferably just no dark colors. P.S. it’s a gay wedding, don’t be afraid to wear white!!

Can I bring a guest?

We do have limited capacity at our venue so please if you’d like to bring someone that isn’t included on your invitation and RSVP form, reach out to us.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, we both come from big families and having kiddos around is the norm. Unfortunately our venue capacity is limited so we are only extending invites to kids in the wedding party and immediate family. So please, if your kids aren’t included in your invite/RSVP and you want to bring them along, please reach out to us. There is a welcome dinner Friday August 30th and if your kids are making the trip with you they are welcome to this dinner. Just know, again, our venue has a strict capacity limit and we can only accommodate the folks we’ve specifically extended an invite to. Additionally, after 9pm we will have music with adult language and themes so keep this in mind.

What can I do while I’m in town?

Answer

Madison is a super fun town to explore no matter the time of year. Check out our “Things to Do” section for more details. DISCLAIMER: it is Taste of Madison weekend downtown. This is a massive food, drink, and live entertainment festival downtown surrounding the capital. We LOVE Taste of Madison, however, please keep in mind this may impact traffic, parking, restaurant, and hotel availability the weekend of the wedding. Please plan accordingly.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Yes! We have room blocks at The Courtyard Madison East and Fairfield Madison East. See the accommodations page here on our website. Note: Taste of Madison coincides with our wedding weekend so we encourage folks to book their accommodations as early as they are comfortable.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We’re hosting a welcome party is Friday night from 7-9pm at Muskellounge. Anyone who’s in town and wants to come join us is welcome.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30pm. The bus transporting folks from the hotel will arrive at 3:00 pm. If you’re driving yourself, just be sure you arrive with enough time to find a spot to sit for the ceremony.

What's the Bar Situation?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate with everyone and are so happy to offer an open bar for cocktail hour(s). The rest of the evening we will have our signature cocktails and tap beers hosted and other cocktails can be purchased. The bar takes both cash and card. Cheers!

What's the Food Situation?

Answer

We'll have appetizers during cocktail hour and a buffet dinner starting at 6pm. If you have any food allergies or special requests, please indicate those on your RSVP form so we can make accommodations.

What about parking?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at the venue, however, we highly encourage you to take advantage of the provided transportation both from the hotel prior to the ceremony and back to the hotel after the reception(see the transportation page for details). If cars are left overnight they have to be removed by 9am on Sunday. Please plan accordingly.
