FAQs

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Grand Tradition property has both a mansion and a garden. Our wedding ceremony will be held outdoors in the gardens. When you first enter the gardens, you will see our welcome sign and a large open air pavilion on the left side of the walkway. The reception following the ceremony will be help in this pavilion, however the gardens are open to explore and enjoy throughout the entire night.

Question

What precautions are we taking in light of COVID-19?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 there will be some modifications to our initial plans. The venue is operating under current guidelines as set by the state of California and San Diego county. All guests will be asked to sign a Grand Tradition COVID Waiver upon arrival. Hors d'oeuvres will still be served, but will be plated and brought to seated guests following the ceremony. Unfortunately, self service stations will not be permitted. This means we will no longer have our chocolate fountain or a buffet style dinner. Dinner will instead be plated and served to all guests (make sure you let us know if you have dietary preferences or restrictions when you RSVP). We ask that all guests wear a mask, except when eating and drinking, and practice social distancing when possible.

Question

Do I need to get a COVID test?

Answer

We are taking as many precautions as possible, and while we can't regulate it we encourage all guests to get tested within the week before the wedding. Even if you cannot get tested, PLEASE make sure to quarantine as much as possible during the weeks leading up so we can reduce any chance of a large COVID spread! Please also be responsible when returning home from the wedding in case of potential infection.

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we prefer if it was just you.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

absolutely.

Question

Can I leave my car parked overnight?

Answer

Yes! There's plenty of parking and the property locks its gates after all events. If you do leave your car behind on Saturday night, make sure to pick it up before noon the next day! Unfortunately, we will not be providing transportation.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail, but above all else we want you to feel comfortable!

Question

IS THERE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE HOTELS TO THE SERVICE?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. Once at the venue, assistance from the parking lot to the main entrance can be provided for our older family members and guests. Please let us know if you need any accommodations.
