Question

Can I take pictures on my phone?

Answer

Please DO NOT take pictures during the ceremony. We will have a photographer and we would much rather see your faces during the ceremony and not your phone screens. Pictures during the celebration are perfectly fine, however.

Do I need to pay to get into Metropark?

Answer

No! Simply give the worker at the front entrance the Metropark entry voucher and they will let you in.

Where should I park?

Answer

You will park in Lake St. Clair Metropark's main parking lot. Try to park as close as you can to the swimming pool and/or south marina harbor.

Do I need to pay the park's shuttle fee?

Answer

No! The shuttle is free for everyone! The shuttle stops at 7pm so our celebration is ending at 6:45pm to give everyone the opportunity to use the shuttle to get back to the parking lot.

How do I get to the gazebo and picnic shelter?

Answer

There is a shuttle stop right near the entrance/pavilion for the marina. The shuttle will take you to the back of the park where the gazebo and picnic pavilion are located. You may also walk but it is roughly a mile from the parking lot to the gazebo/pavilion.

What Picnic Shelter is the celebration located at?

Answer

Shelter J. It is located by the water and has a nearby small playground. It is a 1-mile walk from the parking lot but can be more easily accessed by the shuttle bus.
