We're getting married!

It all started during Sophomore year at UofL. We had both been stealing glances from each other during our cycling classes at the Student Recreation Center. We were officially introduced to each other at the end of that year but didn't have any more social interaction (other than Instagram likes) until 2017. In the summer of 2017 I reached out to him and we started hanging out. I could tell that we both really liked each other and I was getting impatient. I kept asking him, "How long do you normally talk to a girl before you ask her to be your girlfriend?" Silly, right? September 9th of 2017 we had gone to Falls of the Ohio to enjoy the view of Louisville and that's where he asked me to officially be his girlfriend!

2020 was a crazy year, as we were forced to stay inside for most of the Summer. I didn't see a proposal coming anytime soon as Thomas wanted to graduate from nursing school first. We had gone on many walks during our 'quarantine' because we wanted nothing more than to get out of the house. On Wednesday evening we decided to get ice cream and go on a walk down by Falls of the Ohio. I noticed during our walk that Thomas seemed awfully happy about just walking around. Once we came around the corner and he noticed no one was around, he turned to me, got down on one knee, and popped the question! I was so happy that I could say yes to forever with my best friend in the same place he asked me to be his girlfriend.
