Believe it or not, we've known each other (or 'of' each other) for over 10 years! We went to high school less than 15 minutes away from each other and were always seeing each other out and about whether at the Allen County Fair, the Dairy Barn where Luke worked in high school and Abby frequently visited, and of course, like any other couple in this day and age, we kept up with one another through social media.

Luke and Abby went on a first date when Abby was back home for Christmas break during her freshman year of college (circa 2017). The date wasn't great for either of us and we didn't go on a second date until three years later when Abby was in her senior year of college and home for Christmas break again, and Luke was in his first year of law school at ONU. We became inseparable shortly after and did long distance for the remainder of Abby's college years. After a year and a half of doing long-distance, we decided to get a puppy (pictured below) named Josie, and move to Columbus where we've made a home!

Our engagement was on May 20th, 2022 at Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio. It was one week after Luke's graduation from law school, and Abby was under the impression they were going out for "one last dinner date" before Luke began studying for the Bar Exam that he was taking in July. We ate at The Pearl, had some drinks, and then took a walk over the bridge to Pins to continue our night of celebration. It was after we had crossed the bridge that Luke stopped Abby, turned her around, and popped the question!
