With great apprehension (due to our mutual distaste for mushiness), we decided we had to write SOMETHING here about how we met. So, here goes: Mitch and Alexandra grew up less than five minutes away from each other, but two grades apart in school. They never crossed paths in school, despite having several mutual friends. Mitch and Alex even went to the same college together, again never really crossing paths, except for one occasion Alex's senior year, when a mutual friend put them in touch so Mitch and his friends could tour her apartment as a possibility to live in the following year. They didn't meet again until two years later, when they both attended that same friend's birthday party in the summer of 2019. It was at that party that they finally had their first full conversation. Mitch introduced himself to Alexandra as if they were meeting for the very first time, which was awkward, because Alex assumed he'd recognized her from elementary school, high school, college, or maybe touring her apartment two years earlier. Despite the mishap, they still hit it off at the party, and it only took Mitch a quick six months to finally ask her out on a date. To absolutely no one's surprise, he brought her to the Lord of Bean's homeland, Frontera Grill (IYKYK). After that first date, Mitch then waited a respectable year and a half to make things official. Are you sensing a pattern? Well, five plus years later, a lot has changed. We've had so many adventures, laughs, and firsts together. We bought a house, we got a dog, Mitch traveled out of the country for the first time, and Alex fell victim to her first scam (did you know you can't online order a passport?) All jokes aside, we are so excited to embark on the most exciting adventure yet, and to have our closest friends and family here with us to celebrate. See you on the dance floor!
