Tim and Pia met at a mutual friend’s wedding in October 2023, when Tim asked Pia to dance and somehow convinced her to share her number—despite her plans to move abroad. A few days later, they went on their first date, and in the short time they had before Pia left, they made the most of every moment. For the next year and a half, they made long distance work—Pia flew back to New York, and Tim followed her across the globe. In April 2024, Pia returned to the U.S. to start a new chapter with Tim. That fall, they moved to Connecticut, and in November, Tim proposed in Mexico City. A few months later, in January 2025, they welcomed a golden retriever puppy named Nama into their lives. As they prepare for the next chapter in the U.S., it was important to them to mark the beginning of it in Mexico, where Pia is from. They’re so excited to bring friends and family together in Mérida to celebrate their love.
