FAQs

Question

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request that all RSVP's be submitted by January 31, 2027. As much as we would love to accommodate everyone, we must provide final guest counts to our vendors shortly after this date. If we have not received your response by January 31, 2027, we will assume that you are unable to attend and will celebrate with you in spirit. Thank you for helping us finalize our plans!

Question

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate and within our venue's capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, their name will be included on your invitation and RSVP. While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, we are unable to extend additional invitations or make exceptions. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome to attend our wedding if they are listed on the invitation and RSVP. Due to venue capacity and planning considerations, we are only able to accommodate the children specifically included on the invitation and the RSVP. If a child's name is not listed, we kindly ask that they not attend. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we finalize our guest count.

Question

Am I invited to the Rehearsal Dinner?

Answer

At this time, the rehearsal dinner is reserved only for our wedding party and other close friends & family as we prepare for the big day. If your RSVP did not include attendance questions related to the rehearsal dinner, we ask that you and your party not attend. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation!

Question

Can I attend only the ceremony or only the reception?

Answer

Absolutely! We're happy to have you in whatever capacity suits you best. Please mark the RSVP's accordingly so that we may finalize our plans. Thank you!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. Floor-length gowns, midi dresses, dressy cocktail dresses, elegant jumpsuits, suits, and tuxedos are all welcome. Sneaker heat is highly encouraged. No color theme required. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will take place inside a Catholic church, and that the cocktail hour & reception will take place outdoors.

Question

Will any portion of the event be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Cocktail hour and the reception will take place outdoors on the rooftop of one of Houston's most historic buildings. We recommend choosing footwear and attire that will be comfortable for a Houston spring outdoor setting!

Question

What is the weather typically like in Houston in April?

Answer

April in Houston is the heart of the spring season. Typically, Houston is warm and humid at this time, with temperatures ranging from 65-85 F (18-28 C). While spring is one of Houston's most beautiful seasons, the weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing a light layer for the evening and checking the forecast closer to the wedding date. Because portions of our celebration will take place outdoors, we encourage guests to dress comfortably for both indoor and outdoor settings.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Rain or sunshine, we'll be celebrating! Our reception venue offers covered event spaces, so the festivities will continue regardless of the weather. Should any weather-related adjustments become necessary, we will communicate updates to guests as the wedding date approaches. We recommend checking the forecast before traveling and bringing appropriate outerwear if needed.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For the ceremony, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church has a dedicated parking lot that will comfortably fit every guests's vehicle! For the reception, POST Houston also has a dedicated paid parking lot. We are currently negotiating with the venue to secure a specific number of parking spots free for our guests. No valet parking will be available. Additionally, the use of ride share services is highly encouraged (especially to those who plan on drinking)!

Question

How do we get to The Outpost?

Answer

When arriving at POST Houston, please enter the first floor of the Post Marketplace food court. Head to the elevator next to the Foreign Grill food booth, then take the elevator to the rooftop ("R"). From there, follow the signs into the reception space and soak in the views of the Houston skyline.

Question

Will the reception be open to the public?

Answer

While the POST Houston's rooftop is open to the public, our reception will be private and closed off for guests only. Security will ensure that only guests arrive to the wedding reception.

Question

What time should I arrive to the Ceremony & Reception?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will begin at 1:00pm sharp. Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony to accommodate for parking and seating. The ceremony will be a shortened Catholic mass. Cocktail hour starts at 6:00pm, and the reception begins at 7:00pm. Again, guests are encouraged to arrive early to accommodate parking. We appreciate everyone for their timeliness!

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

Of course! The evening will begin with delicious hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour followed by a 5-course Vietnamese family style meal during the reception. Come hungry and ready to enjoy a full meal! If you or anyone in your party has a dietary restriction, please contact one of us as soon as possible so that we may accommodate. Thank you!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! But only on the condition that you to drink responsibly, keep each other safe, and get home safely! Again, ride share is highly encouraged!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The reception will take place in Downtown Houston. We are currently working to secure a hotel room block for our guests who wish to stay close to the venue, but if you wish to book a room for yourself, we recommend the following hotels in downtown for convenience and a comfortable stay: The Laura Hotel Hotel ICON C. Baldwin Hotel

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

No, not at this time. We are so blessed to already have everything we could need. Thank you so much!
