Phoebe and Michael’s story began at a game night hosted by Phoebe’s work friend, Kelly. What started as a casual evening of board games at Kelly’s apartment, turned into something much more meaningful. That night, Phoebe was introduced to Kelly’s soon to be brother-in-law, Michael. Between laughs, a little friendly competition, and plenty of getting-to-know-you moments over games, Phoebe and Michael quickly realized there was something special there. One game night was all it took to start a love story that neither of them saw coming — and they’ve been playing on the same team ever since.

Every year, Michael’s family goes to Panama City beach for a week in the summer. Phoebe joined in on the yearly beach trip once her and Michael started dating. It is something they both look forward to each summer and is such a fun time when his parents, siblings and their spouses are all able to go on the trip together. On the 2025 family trip, while waiting to eat dinner at Phoebe’s favorite beachside restaurant, the sun was setting across the shoreline. Michael got on one knee and asked Phoebe if she would marry him. She of course said yes! It was the perfect way to end the trip and to start their journey towards forever.
