Colton and I met the organic way! My bestfriend and roommate, Maleigh, and his bestfriend Davis set us up on a very awkward blind double date. April 15, 2021 we ate at Buffalo Wild Wings with our friends. We did not speak a single word to each other the entire time and were both wondering if each other was even remotely interested. After Buffalo Wild Wings, we all loaded back up in the car and headed to Starbucks for an after supper treat. We still spoke no words to each other. Before we knew it, the night was over, Maleigh and I were headed back to our dorm and we would go our separate ways forever. Until.... just in the knick of time, as I was stepping out of the car, Colton asked me if he could have my Snapchat. Thank goodness! We started to talk to each other some over Snapchat, and had planned to see each other again at Itawamba Community College's production of "Indians Got Talent." Maleigh was performing in the competition and Colton decided to come watch with me. (If you know Colton, you know that events like this are not his thing. I did not know this at the time.) Regardless, we sat together at the show and all of my friends were very curious who this random boy they'd never seen was. Needless to say, it sparked a lot of questions for me afterward. We laughed and talked the entire show and decided to hangout on our own afterwards. I had the best time, but in the back of my mind I knew that I would soon be moving back home to Brandon for the Summer and there was no way this boy would stick around until I got back. To my surprise, he did! We spent the entire Summer texting, facetiming, and snapchatting. He came to visit me for the Fourth of July (my most favorite holiday ever), and I went to visit while I was back in Tupelo preparing to start radiology school. When it FINALLY came time for me to move back to Fulton, he helped us move me back into the dorm. While freshening up for supper, Colton took me to the campgrounds in Fulton, and out on the water he asked me to be his girlfriend! Since the day we met way back in April of 2021 we have been inseparable. I have said from the beginning that we are the weirdest two little peas in a pod. The rest is history and here we are over three years later, getting married! Colton and I are so excited for the future and cannot wait to see what it holds. These past three years have been full of ups and downs. Together we have experienced graduating college, new jobs, new cars, new pets, moving, placing membership with our amazing church family and everything in between. Time to add to the list of things we've conquered together!
