Hikes We Recommend

Bald Mountain Trail A short hike with a big payoff. Climb to the historic fire tower for sweeping views of Rangeley’s lakes and mountains. It’s a bit steep but quick, and well worth it for the scenery at the top. Cascade Falls Trail A quick and easy walk to a beautiful waterfall along the Sandy River. Just a few minutes from the road, this is a perfect low-effort stop with a great view. Quill Hill Drive (or hike) to one of the best views in Rangeley. The summit overlooks Mooselookmeguntic Lake with wide, open mountain scenery. No long hike required, making it an easy and rewarding stop.

Fishing Information

Summer fishing often means trolling for Rangeley Lake and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes. You’ll want to rent a boat or set up a charter for success. Both lakes have great fishing for landlocked salmon and trout! Beyond the lakes, Rangeley’s rivers offer classic fly fishing experiences. The local Cupsuptic and Kennebago rivers provide exceptional wild brook trout fishing throughout the summer. These rivers are fly fishing only!
