The Wedding Website of Philomena Duffy and Kevin Lin

Elizabeth Perkins

Matron of Honor

Elizabeth and Philomena met their freshman year, and a bond forged over the landscape of Wings' french fries (with a side of honey bbq and blue cheese dressing) and diet coke. Phil and Liz became inseparable throughout their time at college, affectionately being referred to as "Phiz". Elizabeth hears that "Lovely Bones" is a pretty good book.

Niccole Minka

Maid of Honor

Niccole and Philomena have been friends since they were 7 years old. From the good ole days of "Puppet Preachers," through the natural transition of the emo phase they made their way to become two reasonably high functioning adults! Niccole has always been there next to Philomena through life events, the test of death, and also to find the things Philomena has somehow lost even though they were right next to her a second ago. Niccole is the smartest person you will ever meet, just ask Philomena's mother.

Jordan Campo

Bridesmaid

Jordan and Philomena met just before their freshman year of college, where they became Facebook friends BEFORE they had ever actually met. Because this is an absolutely insane thing to do, neither of them admits to pressing the request button (though it was probably Philomena). Little did they know, this friend request would be the start of a budding Facebook friendship for many years to come. I can’t wait to see what she looks like in real life!

Kalyn Smith

Bridesmaid

Meet Kalyn: our resident Dr. Pepper enthusiast! Kalyn and Philomena met during the hazing ritual known as the Operations Team of the Indianapolis Symphony during the late 2010s. Bonded by their love of lunch, these two have grown from colleagues to great friends. Philomena and Kevin fight to try to be the favorite of Kalyn’s two adorable children. #BreadsticksAndYap4Lyfe

Bridget Dumond

Bridesmaid

Bridget and Philomena were born 6 days apart and will tell anyone who will listen about it! The two get to celebrate life events together and check in at the end of August every year to say “wow, we’re getting old, aren’t we?”. These days Bridget and Philomena most commonly see each other during the holidays where they power walk the Manchester Road Race and drink the espresso martinis they made Maddie make for them (see below).

Courtney Kee

Bridesmaid

Courtney and Philomena both hopped into the same Rav-4 full of strangers on its way down to the Red River Gorge and thus began their friendship/belaytionship. Courtney and Philomena have spent the last few years sometimes climbing, oftentimes getting scared and finding new ways to give up, but every time having a blast. Courtney is too good for climbing these days and is a mountain biker now.

Maddie Sanzo

Bridesmaid

Maddie Sanzo, espresso martini maker extraordinaire and also Philomena's cousin (secondarily). With a heart as flexible as her sun salutations, Maddie’s the perfect travel buddy for our magical adventures to Disney World. The UConn/Syracuse rivalry lives on through Philomena and Maddie (go ‘Cuse!).

Mika Lin

Bridesmaid

Mika and Philomena bonded over their shared message of "WHAT Kevin NO, why are you the way that you are?”. Mika is an angel, who bakes delicious treats and rescued* her adorable dog Aki (*rescued from Kevin). Mika lives in Boston with her husband, the aforementioned Aki, and Aki’s doggie sibling, Sugar (the best behaved member of the family).

Wesley Chen

Best Man

The closest thing Kevin has to a younger brother, their childhood was filled with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Nerf gun battles and sleep overs that always felt like an adventure. A founding member of the Peanut Gallery Crew, Wesley’s been one of Kevin’s oldest and truest friends, always reliable, always loyal, and never afraid to bring a bit of humor into any situation. Although life has often kept them busy, their friendship has always picked up right where it left off. Kevin feels lucky to have him standing on this day as a best man.

Kaiwen Lin

Best Man

The closest thing Kevin has to a twin brother (they literally have the same name) Kevin and Kaiwen have known each other since they were five years old. It dates back to the days of Chinese School, where instead of learning characters, they were masterminding a much more important project: overfilling the urinals. They’ve shared countless memories, holidays, and random adventures around the world. Whether they were wandering the streets of London or exploring Taiwan after pulling all nighters, Kaiwen has been by Kevin’s side through it all. Beyond the laughs and good times, Kaiwen is also the guy who keeps Kevin in check—both mentally and physically. A best man, a lifelong friend, and someone who’s always been there when it matters most.

Eric Hu

Groomsman

Erin’s is the other "oldest" member of the Peanut Gallery Crew and the undisputed champion of the height wars. Growing up, they spent countless hours measuring up to each other, but let’s be real, Eric won that battle a long time ago. Whether it was family camping trips, sleepovers, or just endless childhood shenanigans, Eric was always there, steady as a rock. Despite life taking them in different directions, Eric’s friendship has been one of those constants that the groom can always count on. It’s been far too long since they’ve caught up in New York, and that’s something the groom definitely needs to fix. A solid friend, a lifelong brother, and someone Kevin is proud to have by his side on this special day.

Jasper Tyan

Groomsman

Jasper is the brains behind the Peanut Gallery Crew and the voice of reason that kept the rest of the crew in check. A friend who not only brings intelligence but a steady sense of calm, Jasper was often the one to steer the ship when things needed a tiebreak between me, Eric, and Wesley. Through thick and thin (literally) Jasper and Kevin both shed some weight during the pandemic and found a new passion for running. My parents always joked they wished Kevin had a brain like his, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. A loyal friend, a sharp mind, and a constant source of wisdom, having Jasper by Kevin’s side on this big day means the world to him.

CJ Collins

Groomsman

Kevin and CJ met when Kevin randomly showed up outside CJ’s apartment, uninvited, armed with a bottle of gin. CJ made Kevin a notably terrible Negroni and thus their friendship began. Their bond only deepened over their shared hobby of parkour, plus a legendary incident where Kevin heroically saved CJs life by offering to cauterize a finger wound. While their golden days of parkouring and white cherry black claws have come to a close (maybe), these days Kevin and CJ enjoy the occasional (occaaasional) gym rep and sending each other pictures of Nike KillShots.

Austin Huntington

Groomsman

Austin and Kevin first crossed paths at the Colburn School in LA, and their friendship was solidified after a wild night of late-night street basketball followed by their first official outing to Buffalo Wild Wings. Since then, they've been partners in crime at the Indianapolis Symphony, working together through everything from the Colorado Music Festival to Mainly Mozart and, of course, the ISO. Whether it’s making things happen at work or sharing a few too many White Cherry Black Claws with CJ and Kevin at Pacers games, Austin’s presence always adds energy and fun to any situation. From Colburn to the symphony, he’s been a true friend, reliable on and off the stage.

Seung Jeon

Groomsman

Seung Jeon, The Korean Hulk From the moment they met at the Colburn School, Seung Jeon’s charisma and talent were undeniable. Whether dominating the LA food scene with endless Korean BBQ or showcasing his flute-playing mastery, he’s always been larger-than-life. A true wine connoisseur, Seung Jeon is the guy you turn to for both an excellent recommendation and a good laugh. Over the years, he’s become one of the groom’s closest friends and someone he always looks forward to seeing on his annual trips to LA. Here’s to a top-tier friend (and flute technician)!

Sven Lindemann

Groomsman

Sven Lindemann was the first guy to really show Kevin that travel could be about more than just work. Their friendship kicked off during Kevin’s time in London, where late-night hangs at the Clapham Grand, impromptu house parties, and a shared love for a good time led to unforgettable memories. From the Midwest bourbon tour to fancy nights at the Elbphilharmonie, and even skiing in Sun Valley, Sven has always been the perfect travel companion. He’s taught Kevin that life is about more than just playing the violin and he’s also been a co-conspirator in the dangerously fun hobby of watch collecting. Whether it’s exploring the world or exploring the world of luxury timepieces, Sven is the kind of friend who’s always up for the next adventure.

Jacob Joyce

Officiant

In addition to being our officiant, Jacob has also been a close friend to both Kevin and Philomena for years. It all started at 16-Bit with an invitation from Jacob, where Kevin and Philomena first hung out. Jacob kept Kevin sane during the pandemic, and rescued Philomena when she had a flat tire on their bike ride. Legend has it that items may go mysteriously missing from his desk, but he is the perfect person to keep track of our story.
