Detroit is the largest city in Michigan and rests in Wayne County. It is a major port city on the Detroit River and is known as the world’s traditional auto center. This famous city was home to Henry Ford, where he pioneered the automotive assembly line, with the worlds first mass produced car, the Model T. It is also known for its renowned music performers featuring the Supremes, Stevie Wonders, Smokey Robinson, and many others! The auto industry and famous music scene has earned it the nicknames The Motor City and Motown!
