Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is formal. This means you're welcome to pull out all the stops and wear your most elegant attire such as tuxedos or floor-length dresses. This also means a suit or a lovely cocktail dress is perfect. The main goal is for all of our guests to feel their best as we celebrate this special day together. We know that whatever you choose to wear, you'll look fantastic! Please note the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be indoors.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
We understand the joy of sharing such special occasions with a partner or close friend, and we have done our best to accommodate this where possible. However, due to venue capacity, we kindly ask that guests only bring a plus one if their invitation specifically mentions it. If it is addressed to you "and guest", you are welcome to bring a date or friend. If it is solely addressed to you, we kindly ask that you attend solo.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Absolutely, children are more than welcome to attend our wedding! We believe that such joyous occasions should be shared with loved ones of all ages, and we want our younger guests to feel just as included and special as the adults. We've made arrangements to ensure our littlest guests are well taken care of. There will be a children's menu available at the reception to cater to their unique tastes and preferences.

Will there be non-alcoholic options?

Of course! In addition to sodas and juices, we have selected Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider as one of our signature drinks. This will also be substituted for the champagne toast for any who request it in their RSVP (please note this under dietary preferences).

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Absolutely, your health and comfort are incredibly important to us. Our caterer is experienced in accommodating a wide range of dietary needs, including various allergies. When you RSVP, you'll find a section where you can specify any food allergies or dietary restrictions you have. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can ensure your needs are properly addressed.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is valet and self-parking available at our venue (Kimpton Hotel Monaco) for the cost of $65 and $45, respectively. The NHL '23-'24 season has been released and there is a Capitals hockey game the night of the 9th taking place across the street from the hotel at 7:00 PM, so if you are not parking at the Monaco, we HIGHLY recommend reserving parking at a nearby garage as advanced as possible to ensure the best rate and availability. There is a parking garage located around the corner from the hotel (505 9th St. NW) that can be reserved on Spot Hero for a lower rate than the Monaco. Do you have a hotel room block?
Answer
Yes, we certainly do! We have arranged room blocks at several hotels to suit different tastes and budgets. Our main block is at the Kimpton Monaco Hotel, which is the location of our wedding and reception. In addition to the Monaco, we've secured blocks at four other downtown hotels. Each of these offers a unique ambiance and a range of prices to help accommodate our guests' needs and preferences. Are you registered? Where?
Answer
Yes, we are registered for gifts. We understand that choosing a perfect gift can sometimes be a bit challenging, so we've compiled a list of items that we'd love to have as we start our journey together. Our registry can be accessed via the "Registry" link on this website. However, we also want to emphasize that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. We are so excited to celebrate this special day with our closest family and friends; your attendance is truly a gift.

Are either of you changing your last name?
Answer
As much as we considered Whillips or Phillard (just kidding), we're both keeping our last names. You can continue to address us as Mr. Willard and Ms. Phillips.
