Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes! Two shuttles will transport guests between the two main hotels and Hillside Estate on the day of the wedding. Shuttles will depart from the hotels at 4:55 PM and return guests at the end of the evening. If you choose to leave before the shuttles return, Uber and other rideshare services are available. For the welcome party, there won't be shuttles, but the Haywire is a very short Uber ride from the recommended hotels.

What should I wear?

Answer

For the welcome party: The welcome party will be held on the rooftop at Haywire. Semi-casual attire is perfect. For women, think sundresses, jeans, or a nice top. For men, jeans with a button-down or collared shirt work well. If you're attending the rehearsal dinner, the same attire for welcome party guests will apply. Cowboy hats, boots, and other Western-inspired accessories are encouraged but completely optional! For the wedding: For women, cocktail or formal dresses are appropriate, with medium- to floor-length styles recommended. For men, a suit is ideal. Black tie is optional, so feel free to dress up in a tuxedo or formal gown if you'd like.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Probably not. The recommended hotels are about 20 minutes from the airport, the welcome party is a short Uber ride away, and shuttles will be provided to and from the wedding venue. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars near the hotels, making it easy to get around without a car. If you're staying at an Airbnb and forgoing shuttle, or if you plan to explore beyond the wedding events, such as visiting Dallas, Fort Worth, or the lake, renting a car may be worthwhile.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

We love your kids, but children will be limited at the wedding. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the evening. If you are traveling with children, we recommend arranging childcare back home or locally. Thank you for understanding and celebrating with us!

The Hillside Estate has a large private parking lot for guests renting a car, however the shuttle should have most guests covered.

The wedding venue will provide a security officer who will watch over the parking lot and event itself, so you can know your things are well protected.
