Jake and Shannon met way back in the day in 1999. They were tiny 6 year olds entering first grade. Little did they know that was the start of their lives together. They had every single class together from first grade all the way to 7th grade. Shannon moved out of the area in the middle of 7th grade and over the years they lost touch. Until one day, Jake reached out to Shannon, they reconnected at 20 and never let go.

Jake knew that Shannon loves hiking and planned out that he would propose on top of a mountain. Jake had their friend John come to video tape the proposal. Shannon thought he was there to spend the time hiking together. They hiked two peaks that day. After hiking the 4,000 ft mountain and the fire tower, Jake went to the edge of the mountain where Shannon was standing. He turned on the song This is it by Scotty McCreery, Shannon turned around and he was on one knee and asked if she would spend the rest of her life with him. Of course she said YES!
