Phillip and Victoria met in their Freshman Year of High School and quickly became very good friends! They remained friendly through college, but following college, their lives drifted apart. Victoria was living in Albany for a few years where she worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Just Cats Veterinary Clinic. Phillip was working full time in construction and renovation, and he was also very active in the Montauk Fire Department. In 2012, Victoria moved back to the Hamptons and began to work at Olde Towne Animal Hospital, while enjoying the fact that she was back home with her family. Then, one special night at a Halloween party in Montauk in 2013, Victoria and Phillip were by chance reunited! The following December, they realized how much they cared for each other and decided to make it official! It has been a fun and romantic 5 years together, filled with changes of occupation from jobs to dream careers, a few moves to new dwellings, travelling, and two cute cats! Realizing his dream of being in Law Enforcement, Phillip graduated from the Suffolk County Police Academy in 2017 and is now a full time Police Officer for East Hampton Town. Victoria is currently studying to get her LVT (Veterinary Technician License) through Penn Foster, and is working at Olde Towne Animal Hospital in Southampton. They live together in Springs with their two cats: Mookie and Nova. Phillip was born and raised in West Babylon, Long Island, and when he was ten, he moved with his parents and two sisters to Montauk. Victoria was born and raised in East Hampton.
In August of 2018, Vicky and Phil went on vacation to one of their favorite places: Lake George, in the Adirondacks. They planned to go to some historical sites, explore nearby Vermont, and spend time relaxing at the lake. Unbeknownst to Vicky, Phil had a special plan of his own to make their trip unforgettable! The first full day after their arrival in Bolton Landing, Phil announced that whatever they did that day, they had to "be somewhere at 5:30pm". That in itself was rather exciting! The day progressed and by 5:30pm, they were all dressed up and ready to go, and it had begun to rain heavily. Phil drove and Vicky sat in curiosity. They turned right down Sagamore Drive, which can only lead to one place: The Sagamore. The Sagamore is a five star hotel on it's own island, just 5 minutes from the cabins where they were staying. By this point the rain had turned into a torrential downpour but Vicky was so excited to be having dinner at the Sagamore, she didn't mind! Upon entering the Sagamore, they decided to see if the rain would pass quickly and grabbed a drink at the bar. Soon after, the rain stopped! They walked down to the water and looked at the beauty of the lake. Phil stood behind Vicky and asked if she was happy, to which she replied, "Of course!" Then, while she was still facing away from him, he pulled a ring box out and asked, "Do you want to come to Lake George with me every year for the rest of your life?" Again, Vicky said, "Yes, I love it here, and I love being with you!" He said, "Are you sure?" She turned around and there he was, holding the most gorgeous sapphire ring she had ever seen! "Oh my.... is this for real?" and he nodded and she said "Yes! I love you! It's so beautiful!" They had a very romantic evening: their dinner was perfect, neither of them could stop smiling, and they got to watch a thunderstorm happening right on the other side of the lake! It was the most magical night of their lives, and an amazing start to their vacation!!
