About Us
Once upon a time, Phillip and Tara started talking while both lived in different cities. Phillip lived in Denton, TX where he was working around the clock hauling frac sand throughout the southern US. Tara was in Kansas City, MO working for the railroad. Their conversations started with texts discussing likes and dislikes, future dreams, and (of course) what Tara's two cats were doing at the moment. Texts converted over to long conversations, including Phillip talking to Tara until 4 a.m. as she drove to a Louisiana derailment.
For their first meeting, Phillip flew to Kansas City to take Tara out on a date. He was a little late, as he was getting a beautiful arrangement of flowers as soon as he arrived. As they shared a cocktail at Pierpont's in Union Station, it was clear that this wasn't just another "first date." They proceeded to dinner at McCormick and Schmick's, where Phillip ultimately ended up proposing months later. To be continued...
