Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Phillip Stephens and Sarah Lowry
We're so excited to share one of our favorite places with you! If you're looking to see a few more sights in the area, we've included some of our favorite things to do in Olympic National Park. Just a note - Olympic is really massive, so if you're looking to plan a longer trip you'll want to pay attention to driving times and be strategic about where you stay each night! We made this mistake the first time we visited and ended up doing a LOT of driving :)
Enchanted Valley Backpacking Trip

Enchanted Valley Backpacking Trip

This is one of our favorite overnight backpacking trips of all time. If you're looking to backpack while you're here, you should do this trail! It's about a 2 hour drive from the venue to Quinault, where the trail starts.

Olympic Coast Backpacking Trip

Olympic Coast Backpacking Trip

If you're in the mood for more overnight backpacking, this trail is super fun. It follows the coast, where you have to use ropes and ladders to go up and over bluffs, and you can camp on the beach each night! Just check the tides while you're planning! This is about a 1 hour drive from the venue.

Marymere Falls Trail

Marymere Falls Trail

Marymere Falls Nature Trail, WA 98363

The trailhead for this easy/moderate hike leaves from the venue! It's a short hike to a beautiful waterfall.

Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center

Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center

3002 Mount Angeles Road, Port Angeles, WA 98362

Drive up to a beautiful mountain overlook in this part of Olympic National Park. The visitor center actually burned down last year, so you might want to check on the status of amenities before you head up. This is about a 1 hour drive from the venue.

Ozette Triangle Coastal Trailhead

Ozette Triangle Coastal Trailhead

WA 98326

This is a pretty flat and beautiful trail that will give you great coastal views. This is about a 1.5 hour drive from the venue.

Hall of Mosses Trailhead

Hall of Mosses Trailhead

Hoh Valley Road, Forks, WA 98331

Something that Phillip had always wanted to do since he was a kid! An easy stroll through the rainforest. This is about a 1.5 hour drive from the venue.

Madison Falls Trailhead

Madison Falls Trailhead

1930 Olympic Hot Springs Road, Port Angeles, WA 98363

Looking for an easy scenic stroll? We love this quick waterfall hike, and we also love checking out the Elwha River and other trailheads down this road! This is about a 20 minute drive from the venue.

For all the days along the way
