Maid of Honor
Besties since Junior High! I can't imagine my day without her. We may not see each other as much as we would like, but I know without a doubt, she's always there for me.
Best Man
I met Derek during my time at the University of Wyoming; he was one of my math teachers. We bonded over video games and math and continue that friendship to this day. He has always been there for me, and I'm glad he has agreed to stand by my side through this next adventure.
Bridesmaid
My beautiful sister. She'll never truly know how much I have always looked up to her and envied her. Instead, as kids, all she saw was me trying to steal her clothes, and annoy her and her friends!
Groomsman
Another friend I met in College. Robert and I were roommates my first year at UW. Although hesitant at first after his insistence of a rug in our dorm room, we quickly found our common interests and his parents adopted me almost instantly into the family. Like Derek, I know I can always count on Bobert to be there.
Bridesmaid
If you need a raw and unfiltered telling of how life is or what she thinks, this is your gal! She never fails to make me smile or laugh, but more than that this girl gets me. On our own level we have so much in common and I know I can go to her at any time.
Groomsman
This guy had me convinced during our childhood that I had to pay a 'brother tax,' which amounted to every penny I had. Then again I gave him toilet water to drink when he was bossy and asked for a glass of water. Through years of Civil Air Patrol, wrestling, and typical brotherly 'love' I know I can call on him whenever I need him.
Bridesmaid
My dear and sweet Shannon. I am truly thankful for having the opportunity to work so closely (in proximity lol) with this woman. Over the past 7 years she has become such a dear friend. She has the kindest heart, is extremely thoughtful, and makes the best chocolate chip cookies!!!
Groomsman
You gotta love cousins. They're like brothers/sisters except you don't have to live with them. Jimmy s always been there. He was a little older out of all of us, but we shared many years in Civil Air Patrol together. He also introduced me to Warhammer. He and his wife have a wonderful family and a welcoming home. Their door is always open.
Bridesmaid
Ok, so we're 20 years apart, which means we didn't grow up stealing each other's clothes, fighting over boyfriends, or staying up all night talking about boys or the latest high school gossip. Our relationship is different, but I love her no less or different.
The Son
This kid has been my rock for years. I may have been the parent, but much of my strength came from him. It's been us against the world. Sure I've had boyfriends, but none were quite like me and Phil. It has been an interesting, yet difficult, transition. My whole life revolved around him from the moment he was born, and breaking away from that often left me feeling guilty. He has probably been thankful I loosened the mom-strings, you know, seeing as how he's almost 21! I'm so proud of the young man he has become, but he's still, and will always be, my baby boy. Although it's different now, with him being older, he's still my whole world. He tells me often how happy he is that I found Phil, and that Phil is a good guy. Hearing that from him assures me I'm in the right place.
