Bride
The light of my life and every room she walks into. Eleanor's smile and vibes are contagious. She is as smart as she is beautiful, and the hardest worker I know both with a tool belt on or off. My Tinderella in shining armor.
Groom
If you don't know Phillip yet, I'm sorry. But get excited to meet him, because your life will never be the same. Phillip is a one-of-a-kind man with endless amounts of love, humor, and stamina to go around. He has made my life better than I could have possibly imagined.
Mother of the Bride
Everywhere that my mom and I go together, people tell us we look identical, save perhaps for a few years of wisdom that my mom has on me... She is one of my best friends, and a very successful professor in addition to being an absolutely wonderful mother.
Mother of the Groom
My mom has always provided a fantastic example of loyalty, support, and hard work. She raised me with a "lead a horse to water" approach, which means I can attribute much of my success to her. I'm so grateful I have a mother with whom I can share my love of convertibles, world travel, and obsessive productivity.
Father of the Bride
My dad is a fabulously intelligent and hardworking man whose knowledge of history and geography is simply mind-blowing, but he loves nothing more than spending time with his three grand-daughters. One of his most endearing catchphrases is "everything in moderation, including moderation," a spirit I strive to embody in my own life.
Father of the Groom
The rock on which the Haggith family was forged. Dad has carried the team since the 1980's. A true Renissance man, he is wise, witty, patient, slow to anger, generous, kind of funny, and very smart.
Maid of Honor
Skye was one of Eleanor's first friends in Seattle, and she is one of the most supportive and emotionally intelligent people that Eleanor has ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is always down for a silly goose time, but has a deeply intellectual and spiritual side to compliment her fun-loving temperament.
Best Man
As tall as he is kind, Eli has been a steadfast supporter of all of Phillip’s DIY escapades since day one. One of Phillip and Eleanor’s housemates for the last several years, he has been there through thick and thin, spending nearly every day together eating their delicious food and walloping them at any boardgame they choose. Eli is an incredibly loving father and friend.
Bridesmaid
Bella was Eleanor's first life-long friend. They met in Palo Alto in third grade when Bella moved into the same condominium complex as Eleanor, and the rest is history. Bella is one of the kindest souls you will ever meet, with a gorgeous singing voice and an inspiring passion for the environment and education. She has always been (and will always be) one of Eleanor's closest confidants.
Groomsman
Braden is a brick shithouse of a guy, to put it plainly. He has always pushed Phillip to challenge himself, and Phillip has become a better man for it. As roommates in college studying mechanical engineering, they spent more hours in the school library than in their apartment. Although they now live on opposite sides of the state, Braden still calls Phillip regularly just to catch up, and Phillip’s respect for him has never wavered.
Bridesmaid
Asa is another elementary school friend, and another former condo complex resident. She and Bella and Eleanor scootered or biked to school together nearly every day for eight years. Asa is a wildly intelligent and independent woman who is currently living life to the fullest in Brooklyn. She has always given sage advice and comfort to Eleanor in times of need, and is a fantastically fun hang to boot.
Groomsman
Chris is the absolute king of bringing the vibe. He is always dependable for a great attitude, whether it be hitting the slopes in all sorts of conditions or wrenching away on an old Japanese car. Phillip greatly misses his electric personality since he moved to San Diego, but he knows their friendship will always withstand the tests of time and distance.
Bridesmaid
Kyler is one of the many friends that Eleanor has adopted from Phillip. She is a wickedly talented graphic designer and photographer (thanks again for the engagement photos!) with an infectious laugh. She frequently pops in for impromptu visits with Phillip and Eleanor, and has fast become a much loved staple in Eleanor's life.
Groomsman
Jake quickly became one of Phillip’s closest friends in Seattle. He is a deeply loyal and empathetic person who has always been a supportive friend and unmatched listener over the years. Phillip and Jake also bond over their shared love of all things tasty. He’s also Kyler’s partner which is so sick for her.
Bridesmaid
Maddi is an absolute hoot, to say the least. Eleanor met her in grad school at UW and had the good fortune of living with her for three months in Berlin, where they quickly became like sisters. She brings so much to the table including her incredible artistic talent, great sense of humor, and relaxed, go with the flow attitude.
Groomsman
Wildly witty and patently patient, Grant has been putting up with Phillip’s shenanigans for fifteen long years. They began their friendship by biking and taking photos around Whatcom County, and now they live and work together in Seattle. Grant is also as talented a mixologist as he is a compassionate friend.
Bridesmaid
Maja is yet another of Phillip's friends, stolen (borrowed? shared) by Eleanor. She is inspiringly comfortable in her own skin and gives the best hugs known to man, in addition to being a high-achieving test flight engineer. Maja truly prioritizes the relationships in her life and never hesitates to reach out first.
Groomsman
Sassy and sweet, Reed was Phillip’s first close friend when he arrived at Eastern Washington University. A fellow lover of snow, Reed quickly endeared himself to Phillip by driving together to Idaho every weekend to go skiing. He even tried to get Phillip into fishing, but it wasn’t a catch. Despite living many hours apart, Reed has always made an effort to maintain their close friendship.
