We’re getting married!!

Baylee’s family takes a yearly vacation with family from different states. This year we were going to Bolivar Peninsula, Texas, Crystal Beach in September. Phillip had purchased the ring back in June and had his mother Laura and husband Wayne hold the ring till the vacation. Everyone that was going on the vacation knew about the proposal. Close family of Phillips knew as well as a few friends. Normally we take family pictures as part of the vacation. So it was no surprise to Baylee when her Grandma Judy bought matching dresses for Baylee and Remi, with a shirt for Phillip to match, for pictures. Baylee’s mom Angel and Phillip had thought of a few ways to do the proposal. So as they did family pictures, there was a glass bottle half way buried in the sand. Remi was the first one to see it. We picked up the bottle and written on the bottle said “message in the bottle”. In the bottle was a piece of paper rolled up, that Phillip had wrote on. As Baylee was reading the letter Phillip got down on his knee with a ring and asked her to marry him. It really was the best proposal. Unfortunately due to some heartbreaking news, Phillips grandma Shirley, was fighting cancer and Phillip needed to go back home to be with his grandma and family to say his goodbyes, and be support for his family. So he was unable to stay the whole week we were all there. The proposal was extra special because, Phillip has never been to the ocean nor has he been on an airplane.
