Regarding the ceremony: Parking is free and is available in the Arboretum's paved lot and along Beryl Road. There are some "no parking" signs along certain areas of Beryl Road. The venue asks that you observe these, please! For the reception venue: Our guests can enjoy three hours of free parking in the Powerhouse Square Parking deck, located directly behind the venue. The venue's policy regarding parking is a little tricky; they'd like guests to book their parking online in advance in order to redeem the free parking. To redeem, you can follow this link: https://parking.secureaspot.com/hourly/zones/POWERHOUSE and use promo code TRSC at checkout. If you all are enjoying the party and want to stay a bit longer (which we hope you will!), the venue will just ask you to pay the difference when you leave the garage. First and foremost, thank you for your gifts! We can't thank you enough for thinking of us. We prefer all gifts be mailed to us for safety and transportation purposes, but if that is not an option for you, no worries whatsoever. We will have a table for gifts along with a card box at the reception venue. Due to limited space, no gifts at the ceremony, please.
We are so excited that you'll be joining us for our wedding day, and we want you to be able to relax and feel truly present and in the moment with us. We have a wonderful photographer who will capture every moment, and we'll make sure you see those photos as soon as we do! With this in mind, we ask that you refrain from photos during the ceremony; as for the reception? Go wild! While the festivities will be starting after peak sun hours, a May day in North Carolina can still be a little warm into the evening. The reception venue will be temperature controlled, but for those of you planning to attend the ceremony, prepare for temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s.
There is a loose dress code. We recommend "Sunday's best" attire, but if you would like to dress nicer, we welcome it! Got a penguin suit you'd like to dust off? Go for it! Fancy dress you need an excuse to wear? Please do! If you think you are overdressed, you're not! Just no jeans or sneakers, please. If you have an outfit you'd like to wear, but are unsure if it fits the occasion, don't hesitate to reach out. We welcome any and all questions.
Due to the intimacy of the venue, we are regretfully unable to extend invites for plus ones at this time. We sincerely wish we could accommodate everyone, but attendees in your party are restricted to those written on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and hope to be able to celebrate with others at a later date!
