We're Getting Married!

We met the "new school way" of online dating. Tara had recently moved to Asheville that past spring and Philip had recently moved back after the pandemic. We matched on a dating app and Philip made his move by making a comment about how cute Tara's dog Luna was; good move Philip, it worked. From there the conversations quickly progressed and we set up our first date. Philip hardly touched his food on their first date because he was so busy talking (shocker, I know) and getting to know Tara. Philip even sent all his leftovers home with Tara at the end of the date (a true gentleman). Tara had another date set up with someone else that same week and cancelled after her date with Philip went so well. We both knew that we didn't want to date anyone else. On our second date, Philip made Tara dinner at his apartment and our dogs Luna and Brady met for the first time. After that night we were inseparable (including the dogs) and spent almost every day together. We moved in together after only a few months because we knew this was it and didn't want to waste any time. Over the last 2 years, we have spent lots of time traveling, exploring and growing together as a couple (we've even survived multiple home improvement projects). One of our first vacations together was a trip to Key West with Philip's parents. That next spring, Philip proposed to Tara on a private sunset boat cruise in Key West a few days after Tara's birthday while on vacation with Tara's parents. We even booked our wedding on that same trip because we were so excited. Needless to say, our relationship has been pretty special and an adventure we hope will last until we're grey and old. We both have always wanted to travel to Greece and decided, before we were even engaged, that we wanted to get married on a Greek island. We will be getting married in Santorini, Greece on July 14, 2025 surrounded and supported by our immediate families. We will be spending our honeymoon in Greece and Italy right after. We are excited to celebrate our marriage with the rest of our friends and family on August 9, 2025 after we return to the States!
