Estes Park is home to the Rocky Mountain National Park! It is also home to the hotel that inspired Stanley Kubrick's The Shining - The Stanley Hotel. Boulder is 30-45 minutes south, and Denver is about 90 minutes away. If you plan on renting a car, you will have a lot more sites to visit, but if not, there is a shuttle in town at Estes Park that can take you around the town throughout the weekend.
