Our story begins on January 6th, 2024, when Samantha, her parents, and her best friend, along with her parents, visited Lori's Roadhouse. The moms took Samantha's phone to check out the dating app and started swiping on the boys' profiles. And guess what? Samantha's mom swiped "Yes" on Philip! Philip messaged Samantha with a funny joke and we had our first date on January 17th, 2024, at E&O Kitchen. It didn't take long for us to realize how compatible we were, and on February 11th, 2024, we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Spring of 2024 was a blast! We attended opening day, celebrated St. Patricks Day, Easter, and our birthdays together. The fun continued into the summer, which we fondly remember as the "summer of concerts." The fall of 2024 we spent lots of time with family and watching sports. We cheered on our sisters playing volleyball and cheerleading and went to numerous Bengals games. We even embarked on our first trip to Charlotte, NC, to watch the Bengals together. The holiday season of 2024 was our first together, and we cherished every moment spent with both families. December we traved to Costa Rica with Philip's family, marking the beginning of our travel adventures in 2025. We traveled to Myrtle Beach with the Stubenrauchs, sailed through Greece with the Lyons, and explored the Bahamas with the Banys. The highlight of our journey came on July 4th, 2025, with our engagement! Philip had told Samantha that we were getting family pictures with his dad and sister, so Samantha worked that day and later went to the Stubenrauch's house to get ready for the pictures. The photo session started with family pictures and soon turned into a couples photo shoot. As Philip spun Samantha around on the bridge in the backyard, he suddenly got down on one knee and asked, "Samantha, will you marry me?" Without a second thought, Samantha said "YES!" To her surprise, when she turned around, both Philip and Samantha's families were watching the engagement from the deck above. It was a beautiful moment that we celebrated with a small party with our closest family.
