It all started when we were just 15 and 17. What began as a simple connection quickly turned into something a little more memorable… especially after I may have slightly over-sold my love for fishing. I sent him a picture of the one decent bass I had ever caught, and somehow, he was impressed. Curious to know more, he asked me out, and just like that, everything changed. Little did I know that one moment would open the door to countless fishing adventures together. Each trip became our own little tradition. No matter where we went, he knew the routine: I’d show up with a beach chair, a good book, a battery pack, and a bag full of snacks, fully prepared for “fishing,” my way. And somehow, those simple days became some of our favorite memories. After graduating from high school, we faced our first big challenge when he joined the Coast Guard, and we spent a year apart. It wasn’t easy, but it only made us stronger. Every trip to visit him meant everything, and no amount of miles could ever change how we felt about each other. As time went on, our love only grew deeper, and we got incredibly lucky when his next station brought him back home to Florida. From there, life just kept getting sweeter. We even took a dream trip to Ireland, where on April 13th, 2025, he asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes. Since then, we’ve started building our life together, moving in, making a home, and even adding our little cat, Bugsy, to the family. From a single fishing picture to a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure, we truly can’t wait to see what the future holds for us
