Pike Place is a Seattle institution, probably the city's single biggest tourist attraction. And rightfully so. Driving there is a mob scene, so be forewarned.
Gorgeous museum and garden full of glass art by Dale Chihuly (famous in the world of glass art, to the extent that's a thing). It's a lovely museum that is also about 200 feet from the Space Needle.
Our favorite Seattle art museum is... Seattle Art Museum. It's also right next to Pike Place Market -- combining the two is a nice outing.
One of Seattle's many (really so many -- we're getting married in one!) wonderful little parks. Bring a coffee or a lunch, enjoy the view.
Another wonderful park -- this one is closer to Davis' home and full of key childhood memories. It's also where Philip was intending to propose until the weather soured... curse you Seattle.
One of Philip's favorite restaurants in the world and his favorite Seattle restaurant, silly though that may sound. They make really good szechuan buns and noodles, what more to say.
A genuine Seattle icon, inevitably on every Seattle restaurant list. Incredible Caribbean sandwiches.
Great, crowd-pleasing Italian food in Ballard, which is also probably our favorite Seattle neighborhood to wander and eat in.
If Stoneburner is crowd-pleasing Italian, this is top-notch Italian -- almost always regarded as one of the best restaurants in the city. We went here the night before we got engaged and Philip got stressed that the meal was actually too good and the fine dining place he had planned for the night of the proposal wouldn't compare.
Dick's is what McDonald's was in days of yore, before it lost its soul. It's open late, you get your food in moments. If you're looking for a late-night burger and root beer float after the wedding, as you should be, this is the spot. There are several around Seattle, they are all good.
The name is descriptive. A Pessner favorite.
You may have caught on by now that we quite like sandwiches -- Layers has a wide variety of excellent ones. Great place to grab a sandwich to take to a park.
The go-to coffee / pastry shop for the Pessners. We have searched the city for a better spot and have yet to find one.
Seattle is awash with good pho, you really can't go wrong. Pho Than Brothers is a staple, and an excellent little chain.
Like Mr. Gyros, the name is descriptive. Excellent coffee, excellent bagel sandwiches, excellent vibes. The burritos we can't speak to.
