Wear something you would in Hawaii or on a tropical vacation—bright colors, fun prints, Hawaiian shirts, breezy dresses, etc. Perhaps a sweater or jacket in case it cools down and comfy shoes for walking on grass.
There is - once you turn into the neighborhood after turning off of Highway 2 you'll see signage/balloons directing where to go, and where to park. ***Please drive slowly through this private neighborhood. Part of the drive is gravel and will kick up dust. Your kindness to the neighbors (and those driving behind you) is appreciated!
Options vary depending on your needs and budget. Beyond Monroe consider areas around Woodinville, Snohomish or Everett. AirBnB and VRBO have a lot of options heading out towards Sultan, Index and Skykomish as well.
The best gift you could give us is your IDEAS! We want your recommendations and ideas for weekend and day trip excursions, local and beyond! For example, we'd recommend people spend time in Astoria, visit the Astoria Column for amazing views, go to the Inferno Lounge for excellent drinks and dinner on the water, then hit the Astoria Sunday Market for amazing art.
