Some days I spend more time looking back than forward. I close my eyes and it takes me right back to one of the most magical times in my life. One night while watching a movie John asked me to accompany him to Europe. Before I knew it, I was on an Airbus travelling across the pond. Driving into Dublin I immediately felt like a character in a Dr. Seuss book as the roads twisted and turned in opposite directions. I never felt so safe with my trusted Captain though. We arrived at our opulent boutique hotel. It was as if they brought the outdoors in, huge vases of verdant greens stacked onto columns. A sea of black and white checkered tiles stretched for miles. Free and careless, we traded our hotel suite for the Dublin streets. Cobblestone pathways led us to the most charming pub. A nostalgic college feeling overwhelmed me as we had to fight our way through the sea of patrons to the holy grail of Guinness. A river of liquid gold flooded our veins and It wasn't long before John was singing center stage. Feet on the dashboard, riding shotgun, we drove for miles and miles and I prayed for every red-light, because it meant more time on our journey across The Emerald Isle. We arrived at the Cliffs of Moher and John ushered me toward O'Brien's Castle. The wind quickly wrapped us in a bear hug and the rain kissed our faces. All of sudden, John got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I immediately said "yes." In that moment I gave my heart so fully and so completely to John that I could never imagine my life without him. My heart is so full and overwhelmed with joy knowing we have a love so deep the ocean would be jealous. We met up with John's family in Italy. We toured countless vineyards, ate our weight in pasta, and toured the waterways of Venice. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone on 10-10-2020. <3 <3 <3 Relive the European experience here: https://youtu.be/4MwX51kHaDc
