We apologize, we got so excited with our invites and forgot this important detail! Sunday July 16, 2023 is our deadline. If we do not receive a response by this date, we will sadly remove your name from our guest list.
On our website, go to the RSVP section which we have made visible to all guests. You can type your first and last name, or just your last name. If you have any issues, please email us at the address above!
Doors will be open around 1:15PM. Please arrive no later than 1:45PM.
Meeting-attire/formal.
Yes, there will be plenty of parking at both locations. Please follow the instructions of designated attendants.
We will be serving light hors d’oeuvres at refreshment hour, followed by an entrée and desert. All beverages will be non-alcoholic. Please do not bring any personal alcoholic beverages/flasks on-site. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know by August 1, 2023. Please email us at hookedonaphelan2023@gmail.com, we may reach out about some options with you.
If you and your children are invited, your invitation will say your family name. If your invitation just has your personal name(s), then only you, your spouse, or select members are invited. When you RSVP, you will see which family members have been invited as well.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to reserve rooms for out-of-town guests. We highly recommend searching for hotels and Airbnb's nearby in Charlottesville, Lovingston, Crozet, or Staunton, VA.
At the ceremony, masks are optional. We ask all guests to reflect on Christian principles to whole-heartedly respect the personal space and preferences of others when they say so. At the Kingdom Hall, there are several hand-sanitizing stations. At the reception, again, masks are optional and please exercise the same respect towards others. Dinner will be plated so that food has minimal exposure to others. Our waiters/servers will wear gloves. If you have any requests or concerns, please email us at hookedonaphelan2023@gmail.com.
We will mass email our guests with information. When you RSVP, please provide your email for a confirmation as this automatically provides us with your preferred email address for updates to be sent to. When emails are sent, please be courteous and respond only to sender, not "Reply all".
We could use a lot of helping hands! Please email us if you're interested if you have not already done so. We are keeping a list of your loving offers and will contact you when we may need you!
If you have large plastic storage bins please let us know. We would like to borrow or buy them from you. If you have blank or thank you cards hanging around the house that you just can't seem to get rid of, we would love to use them and "recycle" them! If there is anything else you would like to offer materially to prepare and build this event, please let us know before August 1, 2023! Thank you!

The stamps on our mailed wedding invitations were a special set by the USPS displaying Emilio Sánchez’s paintings. On our first date, we went to the UVA Fralin Art Museum, and guess what works were featured? Emilio Sánchez! They had the paintings and copy of the stamps on display. We are so happy to see what became of that little walk in front of those paintings since then.
