Tim and Bex met in the most classic “barn romance” way: through horses. Tim was first training Harvey, Starbucks, and Marshmallow, then coaching Bex’s daughters—and eventually Bex herself—because Emily wanted barrel racing to be something they could all do together. What started as lessons and barn time slowly grew into friendship, laughter, and a shared love of life (and horses). The real matchmakers were the kids. All of them—daughters and sons alike—noticed how well Tim and Bex got along and couldn’t resist encouraging them to spend more time together. The daughters, bursting with excitement, even told Bex about Tim’s impending date before he had the chance to ask! Meanwhile, the boys took a more direct approach, teasing and “harassing” Tim about Bex, making sure he knew they were watching and that he needed to step up. With the kids’ support and playful persistence, Tim finally asked for their blessing before officially asking Bex out. After months of dating, Emily boldly declared that we were going to get married—a prediction we hope she is now watching come true from heaven. What began as friendship and barnyard banter has grown into love, laughter, and a blended family full of joy. And we’ll forever be grateful to our kids, the ultimate team of matchmakers, for nudging us toward the life we now share together.
