We’re getting married!

Our story starts in 2016 at The College of New Jersey... Jenn, a charismatic sorority girl, asked Patrick, a collegiate wrestler & frat boy, to be her date to ZTA Fall Formal on 11.4.2016 (a day after Patricks' 22nd birthday). Really, Jenn’s housemates talked her into asking him, since he was a mutual friend, some of his friends were attending the formal with her friends, and they just had a good feeling about the match-up. Though Patrick already had a feeling Jenn might ask him to her formal, fate seemed to give her a little nudge. That same week, the two “matched” on a college-exclusive app called Friendsy—a platform where students could swipe on each other and choose to connect as Friends, Hookup, Date, or any combination of the three. Jenn took their ironically timed match as a sign and used it as the perfect segue to invite him to be her date (on very short notice, no less). After leaving her on “read” for almost an hour, just so she would sweat it a little… he agreed! At the time, Patrick was in the middle of his wrestling season & Jenn was fully immersed in her studies & sorority life. Just two kids "not looking for anything". Although Patrick wasn’t exactly the life of the party, opting not to eat or drink anything during the whole duration of the event since he was (to Jenn's surprise) "cutting weight", the evening was still a success. The two continued to see each other and spoke every day from then on! After hanging out for some time, the two went on their first "official" date at Triumph Brewing in Princeton, NJ - a night that sealed the deal & marked the start of their exclusive relationship. Fast forward to Jenn & Patrick graduating college and conquering long-distance for a year & a half, bouncing back and forth between their hometowns, Lacey & Riverdale. Eventually, they decided it was time to close the gap - and give their cute boxer puppy dog, Diego, a forever home! In November 2019, they settled in Belford, NJ, a perfect midpoint between their families, and shortly after rescued Diego's pittie sister, Daisy, just in time to face the challenges of the pandemic together as a family. Over the years, Jenn and Patrick have built a strong foundation, growing together through career changes, exciting opportunities, memorable celebrations, and major life milestones. All of these moments led to a New Year’s Eve ski trip to Vermont, where Patrick proposed at the summit of Pico Mountain on 1.1.22. Now, after 3 years + 3 months of planning, the big day has finally arrived! Sometimes when you are “not looking”, you find exactly what you never knew you needed.
