The past 6 years of Peyton and I have flown by, but I always find myself looking at pictures from when we first started dating. A lot of those take place in Emerald Isle, which we refer to as “our place”. My family had just bought a beach trailer in EI the spring we started dating, so naturally we were always going down there. Peyton’s family ended up getting a trailer in the same park and we’ve spent countless days there since. One of my favorite memories from those early beach days was a little over a month into our relationship. It was towards the end of the night and I was walking Peyton back to her car at the Bogue Inlet Pier. After saying goodnight, I told her that I loved her for the first time. Peyton’s smile lit up my whole world – and it’s been my goal since then to make it happen as much as possible. I remember Peyton being in shock, like she couldn’t believe that I finally said it. It was a big memory for me – I was with my person at our favorite place. It’s always been a spot that we could get away and enjoy time together with family and friends as well. It’s fitting that we are getting married on the water in Beaufort because it’s always been a part of our story. Excited to make new memories there on September 27th! - T
