Lodging

We will NOT be doing hotel blocks for our wedding. Since there are many great areas to stay/visit around our venue, we want you to be able to chose where you would like to spend your time/vacation. We recommend trying to book your stay relatively early if possible. During the summer months these areas book up pretty quick, and the prices reflect the busy season. If you book early, you might be able to get a cheaper rate, rather than booking closer to the date. We also recommend using the site "Airbnb" to find a place to stay, as we love the extra room that homes give us with the kids. However, if that's not your thing, there are wonderful hotel options as well. BRIDE TIP: If you would like help finding a reputable company to stay with during your vacation (If you chose Tybee or Savannah) contact Meagan! The Bride's family has vacationed around these areas for over 14 years, she knows the area very well and can point you in a good direction.

Travel Note

Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is a beautiful and historic option for guests looking to stay a little closer to our wedding venue while still enjoying a full travel experience. With it's cobblestone streets, Spanish moss-covered oaks, and charming downtown squares, it's the perfect spot for couples, families or groups of friends. Theres so much to explore- take a riverboat cruise, visit the famous Forsyth Park, or just stroll through the historic district with a drink in hand (yes, open containers are allowed in parts of downtown!). It's also home to great restaurants, museums, shops and kid-friendly attractions like the Savannah Children's museum, and the Wormsloe State Historic Site (this is where Forrest Gumps famous running scene was filmed!). Plus, Savannah is only about 40 minutes from our wedding venue in Pembroke, so you can enjoy the city while still being close by for the wedding. PRO TIP: Check the 'Things to do' tab for more information on activities!

Travel Note

Tybee Island, Georgia

If you’re planning to bring the whole family to celebrate with us, Tybee Island is a fantastic place to stay. Just over 1 hour from the wedding venue, this laid-back beach town is perfect for a fun and relaxing getaway- especially if you’re traveling with kids. Tybee offers beautiful sandy beaches, gentle waves and plenty of kid-friendly activities like dolphin tours, bike rentals and the Tybee Island Marine Science Center. There are also playgrounds, ice cream shops, and casual restaurants the whole family will love. Tybee is a great home base if you want to explore Savannah or just enjoy a beachy mini-vacation before or after the wedding! PRO TIP: Check under the 'Things to do' tab for more information on activities during your stay! The Bride and Groom’s home base will be on Tybee for the wedding weekend!

Travel Note

Statesboro, georgia

Statesboro is a great option for guests looking for a comfortable, convenient, and budget-friendly place to stay during the wedding weekend. It's about 30 minutes from our venue, making it one of the closest cities with a range of hotel options, restaurants and stores. It's a college town (home to Georgia Southern University) so there are plenty of casual dining spots, coffee shops and family-friendly activities. For those traveling with kids, the Splash in the Boro waterpark is a local favorite during the summer months! If you're looking for a quieter stay with easy access to essentials and a quick drive to the wedding, Statesboro is a solid choice. PRO TIP: Look under the 'Things to Do' tab for more information on activities!
