We both attended Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. We had many friends in common through Greek life and both enjoyed staying active in the community. It wasn't until after we both graduated that we decided to go on a date! We went mini golfing and had Whiteys ice cream and the rest is history...

Jake's volleyball team qualified for Nationals in Las Vegas the summer of 2021. Once we booked our tickets, we also made a reservation at Hell's Kitchen. When we arrived in Vegas, we realized we accidently grabbed the wrong bag which means all of our clothes were still in Chicago at the lost and found. After a long day of phone calls and shopping we arrived at Hell's Kitchen. Before we entered the restaurant, Jake got on one knee and pops the question! The easiest YES ever!

My Grandpa, Ron Vail, has been a rock collector his whole life. A few years ago he gifted all of his grandchildren with precious stones. Each grandchild got a variety of stones ranging from sapphires, emeralds and many others. Jake incorporated a Blue Topaz as the main stone in my ring which was a gift from my Grandpa. Such a special way to honor how much my family means to me.
