Cavin: Peyton moved to California for her first job out of college. She quickly got connected to a church, and developed a great community with some of my closest friends. We had heard about each other several times, but it wasn’t until a few months later that we finally met at a friend’s house for a movie night. I showed up late, and there in the corner was the Texas girl I had heard so much about. We sat on opposite ends of the couch and didn’t speak to each other the entire time. It took a few months for us to warm up to each other, but by the time Peyton’s year in California was up, we had become close enough to keep in touch. We were friends for two and a half years before we started dating, and we knew pretty soon after that we were meant for each other!

Peyton: I dropped Cav off at the airport at 6:45am on a Tuesday and my dad picked him up 15 minutes later. They got breakfast and he hid out at Dad's office the whole day. I thought I was getting dinner with my family at Tapatio Springs, the resort my beautiful sister-in-law works at. She asked if she could show me something she had built for an event before we met everyone else at the clubhouse, so I hopped in her golf cart and was driven to the ceremony site of the venue. Cavin stepped out from behind a tree and I screamed. It was the best surprise!! I love you, Cavin Hawkins!!!
