We can't wait to celebrate with you

It was June 14th when Adriana made the small decision to attend a young adults group—a decision we didn’t know would change our lives forever. That morning at 10:30, Peyton sent a message he had sent many times before: “Hey, my name is Peyton Stretch from Epic Church...” Neither of us imagined that simple text would become the beginning of our story. Over the next few weeks, Peyton thought he was doing a great job flirting, while Adriana, without realizing it, kept him guessing. Eventually he gathered the courage to ask her to dinner for what she thought was "him being a good group leader". That night the conversation came easily, full of laughter, honesty, and a depth that surprised them both. One date turned into two, then three, then four, and finally five. But in a twist they didn’t expect, they decided it was best to stay friends. What followed was nearly a year of genuine friendship. They spent that time growing closer, having fun, and pursuing the Lord as friends. Then on Easter of 2023, on a hike at Pinnacle Overlook, something shifted in Peyton’s heart. He began to see Adriana as more than a friend, and that led Peyton to a month of prayer, nerves, and wondering if asking out his good friend whom he had already dated was the right move. He decided it was worth the risk. On June 13th, 2023, the two officially began dating, this time with confidence that God had been writing a story they couldn’t yet see. Since then, they have walked through every season together, learning to love with patience, grace, and hearts set on the Lord. And on July 17th, 2025, Peyton asked Adriana to marry him! Their story started with a simple message, but it has become a reminder of God’s perfect timing and the beautiful way love grows when it is rooted in faith and friendship.
