Long story short — we were set up! Some background: We've lived in the same area our whole lives, our moms went to highschool together, our families have always known of each other, and we even had some mutual friends — yet we had never met. In February of 2022 (our senior year), we were set up by a mutual friend — who is his best man and my brother-in-law, Colton. We both thought we could just be friends and didn't want anything serious since college was right around the corner. But God looked at us and laughed, I'm sure. We quickly realized we couldn't just be friends. It took Tate a little while to ask me to be his girlfriend, and honestly, I wasn't even sure if he liked me (turns out, he really did)!! On May 8, 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend — and the rest was history! This man is the definition of kind and loving, not just to me but to everyone around him. To know him is to love him! He compliments me so well and is everything I knew — and didn't know — I needed. I can’t wait for this next chapter in our lives!
