Like all good love stories, Peyton and Mackenzie's started on a dating app. August 19, 2023, they matched on the dating app, Bumble. This is not something either would like to admit, but it is a vital part of their story. After messaging back and forth nonstop, they had their first date on September 9, 2023, having drinks at Brass Tap in Rockwall. They sat there and talked for 5 hours, knowing that this was something special. They continued to go on dates, until finally on October 26, 2023, Peyton asked Mackenzie to be his girlfriend, to which she responded with "FINALLY". The two then became inseparable! They have not gone a day since matching without speaking to each other. On December 9, 2023, Mackenzie said she loved him, to which he responded "I love you too, let's move in together". The couple moved into their first rental house together on February 3, 2024. On October 21, 2024 Peyton asked Mackenzie's dad if he had his blessing to ask her to marry him. Her dad of course said yes. December 23, 2024 Peyton asked Mackenzie to marry him at the Arboretum in Dallas. She was ecstatic and said yes! Fun Fact: While they were there, Peyton proceeded to ask Mackenzie 3 more times to marry him, because he had so much fun proposing the first time! As if planning a wedding wasn't hard enough, the couple decided to take yet another big step and closed on their first home in Rockwall on April 4, 2025.
