UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens
Take a walk in these beautiful gardens, especially wonderful at sunset. These gardens transport you out of the city to a serene place.
Exit Strategy North
We have done two escape rooms here - The haunted mansion (rate 3/10) and the Ruins (20/10). The ruins has sand on the floor and the walls look like rocks, if your looking for a fun family activity I would totally come here.
NASCAR Hall of Fame
If you love the sport of racing check out the NASCAR Hall of Fame it is located in downtown Charlotte with plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance.
Camp North End
This is a fun area on the weekends with live music Friday nights. Enjoy local restaurants with signature cocktails or mocktails. Gianna and I love the retro atmosphere this place offers.
Carowinds
This theme park is about a 30–45-minute drive from the university city area with plenty of roller coasters for all age groups. Although Gianna and Eric have not been it would be a fun thrill before the wedding.
U.S. National Whitewater Center
The white-water center can cater to those seeking an adrenaline rush before the big day. From basic rapids to Olympic level rapids you can experience it all. They also have other activities like rock climbing, free jumps, bike trails, and more!
