Growing up in a small town, it is hard for either person to remember not knowing, or at least knowing of, the other. Over the years, the bride and groom have been neighbors, classmates, church members, and prom dates well before marriage was ever on anyone's mind. Their first agreed upon memory of one another was June 2003, after the end of their third grade year at Township No. 3 Elementary School. That summer, they were in the same Vacation Bible School class at church. They were also in the same summer camp group at a local day camp. On the first day of day camp, Tommy walked up to KaDeidra and asked, "Why are you following me?" From his point of view, she was everywhere: school, church, and now day camp? GIRL. KaDeidra, on the other hand, was completely taken aback at his perceived arrogance. From her point of view, she was nine. She went where her parents drove her and told her to get out. In any event, she quickly put her hands on her little hips and told him, "Ain't nobody following you!" before dramatically exiting the room. Looking back, Tommy has assured KaDeidra that he wasn't being mean, he was *probably* just trying to break the ice . . . as any self-respecting fourth grader does.
