On a cloudy day at Marker 8, fate (and a little confidence) stepped in. Caroline was serving tables when Luke and his firefighter crew stopped in for lunch after a day on the water. When Luke asked what was on the menu, Caroline sarcastically pointed to the chalkboard. After ringing in one too many Cubans, she asked if he wanted one too. When his friends wondered how he got his food so quickly, Luke claimed he’d simply winked at her. Caroline was her usual slightly sarcastic self, but with a smile Luke couldn’t ignore. The guys later told him they’d never seen her smile like that before, so he asked for her number. It was, in many ways, love at first sight. For their first date, they went to the beach, lost track of time, and ended up staying together for nine unforgettable hours. And from that day on, the rest was history.
Our engagement on Longboat Key began as a simple photo shoot—nothing out of the ordinary, as Caroline and Luke had done many modeling shoots together before. But on that chilly evening, Luke got down on one knee and asked one of the most important questions of his life: Will you marry me? Caroline, of course, said yes. Moments later, their friends Emily, Skye and Ryan popped out from the bushes to surprise them. What began as an ordinary photo shoot became the happiest day of their lives—the beginning of forever.
After touring multiple venues and bouncing ideas back and forth, Caroline and Luke couldn’t quite find “the one.” Then Bri and Jean generously offered to host the wedding at their home, and it immediately felt perfect—an intimate celebration surrounded by their closest family and friends. The celebration at Bri and Jean’s home will take place from 5:00–9:00 PM, with the ceremony beginning promptly at 5:15 PM, followed by cocktails, dinner, and live music. Afterward, guests are invited to continue the celebration at Blur, where the after-party will begin at 10:00 PM. Guests are kindly asked to wear garden cocktail attire (please avoid black), arrive by 5:00 PM for the ceremony, and note that while street parking is available, it is limited. Carpooling is encouraged, and we kindly ask that guests avoid parking on neighbors’ grass. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with you!
After the wedding, we’re off on our honeymoon adventure! We’ll be flying to St. Martin and then taking a ferry to St. Barts, where we’ll be staying in a cozy Airbnb in Gustavia, the charming capital. We can’t wait to relax on the beach, snorkel the beautiful reefs, take in stunning sunsets on a catamaran, and enjoy time at the beach clubs. Of course, we’ll also be wining and dining as we soak up every moment together.
