A great brewery right across the road from the Roundhouse! They have beers, wine, as well as food trucks. We cam here right after we toured the venue and knew we wanted to get married here!
Located in a former Nabisco box-printing factory, Dia Beacon presents Dia’s collection of art from the 1960s to the present as well as special exhibitions and public programs. (And yes I pulled the above directly from the website)
Although not exactly in Beacon, if you have a car and wish to explore the area this is a popular weekend retreat for New Yorkers! Storm King is a huge 500 acre sculpture park that has tram tours, bike rentals, as well as a cafe.
A great restaurant and sports bar right on Main Street! Chris recommends the truffle fries, and Chelsea recommends the brussels sprouts.
On the train to Beacon, you may pass by some ruins in the middle of an island. This is Bannerman Castle, which was built by the Scottish Bannerman family in the early 20th century to look like a Scottish castle. Guided tours of the castle and island are available. Guests are welcome to kayak or canoe to the island to do self-guided sightseeing tours, as well.
Cute restaurant with great cocktails!
