One of the most famous spots in Washington and it is only about 20 minutes away from Scimitar Ridge Ranch. Walk across the bridge, explore Rosario Beach or watch the powerful tides. The views are amazing on a clear day, so definitely bring a camera!

A PNW classic. You'll find their ice cream in lots of local spots around town. The flavors change seasonally and are made with ingredients from the region.

The highest point in Anacortes with the best views around. Feel free to drive up to the top or take a nice day hike to see pieces of the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker.
Whale Watching in the Salish Sea
The waters around Anacortes are some of the best to see whales. Local tours often spot orcas, humpbacks, grey whales and sea lions while cruising throughout the islands.
Taylor Shellfish Farms
Taylor Shellfish is one of the most famous oyster farms in the region, and their Bow location lets you sit outside overlooking the water while enjoying fresh oysters, clams, and local wine or beer.

Admiralty Head Lighthouse
Right next to Fort Casey, this historic lighthouse is one of the most photographed in Washington. Nearby, you can explore old bunkers and fort grounds while taking in the beautiful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
