Lets Celebrate!

When we met it felt like it was meant to be. God brought us together at just the perfect time in both of our lives. We first saw each other at a young adults church group back in 2015. I noticed Jordan right as I walked in the door. His brown leather boots was the first thing that caught my eye, then when he got up on stage for worship, I was officially smitten. From the stage I noticed Michelle and her big bright smile and from that moment I knew I needed to talk to her. The night came to an end and I dashed for the door in hopes of running into Michelle. But, quickly I was embraced and tackled by our friend Matthew. At that moment I thought that she was forever going to be the one who got away. The next couple of weeks that fear kept prevailing. Until the day she did came back. I knew I wasn't going to waste anytime, so I walked over introduced myself to her over a bowl of Skittles and Swedish Fish. Once we both knew we were interested in one another a first date to go rock climbing was set and from that moment forward we knew we were heading into something pretty special!

Jordan came out to see me in New Zealand after being away for 5 months doing a discipleship training school. He flew out to see my graduation and from there we hit the coast of New Zealand and traveled around in a campervan. We saw the most beautiful landscapes. We laughed, cried, and simply enjoyed each others company. I flew out there knowing I was going to pop the question. I had a whole thing planned and everyone back home was eagerly waiting for the news. We ended up driving to a beach in Wanganui, New Zealand. We had our favorite food and then went to watch the sunset. I tried to plan it perfectly, but the sun was setting so fast. We jumped in the car and I was speeding down the road. We were literally chasing the sunset... So romantic... right? Well we finally get there and the tide is rushing in. We had just enough time to take a few pictures before I got down on one knee. We were taking fun photos and then all of a sudden he is down on one knee! I was shocked and so thrilled. I didn't even say yes to him, because it wasn't even a question. Once that big moment was over we had to rush and grab all of our stuff or else us and our car would have been swept away to sea. Once we got in the car and the emotions settled excitement overwhelmed me. It was official we were going to spend the rest of our lives together... FOREVER!
