Jules and Petra met rocking orange shorts at Hooters and Spartan jerseys at Michigan State. Since then their friendship has grown deeper and they've stood by each others' side during life's milestones: new careers, relationships, marriage, many moves, twins, etc. The geographical distance between them means nothing, as they'll always be by each others side-- wedding day included!

Milica Mandic

The only one that's been there since the day Petra was born is her older sister, Milica (specifically, 1 year and 2 days older!). They share a deep bond like no other, as they've faced many challenges together and rejoiced in many celebrations as well. That familial circle has expanded a few years ago with the birth of Margot and Maxi, Petra's favorite niece and nephew! Having her sister and her little ones be a part of the wedding is the most magical journey that Petra is super grateful for.

Stephanie Cook

Bridesmaid

Petra considers Stephanie to be an additional sister outside her biological family. They've been roommates and best friends since Petra's move to California. They've watched each other's cats more times than they can count, and Petra wouldn't trust anyone more than Stephanie to provide fashion and skin care advice. Stephanie has been a huge support to Petra and Jimmy since the *surprise* proposal and they can't wait to share their special day with her.

Laura Hirshfield

Laura and Petra met while working together as school teachers. Petra started out as her teaching assistant and has since become her soul sister (#ta4life). Laura has not only been a great friend, but she's also been a great mentor and role model. When not working, Laura and Petra send each other dog memes, plan brunches, travel to yoga festivals, and hike beautiful trails together. Oh, and one essential fact-- Laura connected Jimmy to Petra, so it's a no brainer that she will be there on their special day that she basically conjured up in 2019.

Emily Wernet

Emily and Petra met their freshmen year in the Michigan State dorms. Whoever matched these two opposites to be roommates knew what they were doing. Although they would both go on to different careers in different states, Petra and Emily kept in touch daily and have watched one another grow and evolve into the women they are today. From the 2006 shells and cheese days, farmhouse frat parties, football games, and 8 hour library sessions to the 2024 wedding day, Petra couldn't think of a better person to stand up there with her than Emily.

Kelli Seaquist

Bridesmaid

Kelli and Petra also rocked orange Hooters shorts and Michigan State jerseys, however they also shared academic interests. While playing reporters and anchors for MSU's newscast, Kelli and Petra got a chance to interview Tom Izzo and the Michigan State basketball players- the highlight of their college careers. Since then, Kelli and Petra have moved to different parts of the country, established themselves as professionals (in non journalism careers), stood by each other while one got married (Kelli!), and had 2 beautiful baby girls (Kelli!). Now that it's Petra's turn to say "I do," Kelli couldn't be happier to return the favor and be a bridesmaid on her special day.
